After graduating from one of the best high schools in Tehran with flying scores, my burning desire for analytical lessons led me to study electrical engineering at university. During the Master's program, I selected a course about "Electricity Industry Restructuring." This course opened my eyes to a fascinating world, "Economics and Finance." With the encouragement of my thesis advisor, I translated a freshly published book about power system economics. After publication, this book was nominated for the national book of 2008 in Economics. Eventually, after passing all courses with high grades, I obtained the first rank among graduates of the MSc at the university. Although I had a promising performance in engineering, I found my profound zeal for management and finance. After graduating with MSc as an interdisciplinary task, I was responsible for establishing the Ancillary Services market in the Iranian electricity market. Additionally, I was appointed as a joint workgroup member of the Ministry of Energy and Securities and Exchange Organization to establish the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX). With the IRENEX foundation, I served as the head of the market operation department. Working in a newly established exchange was a turning point in my career. I participated in preparing all the listing, trade, registration, and settlement regulations and designing pre-trade, trade, and post-trade procedures and platforms. I also became familiar with all electricity suppliers and financial institutions in Iran. In 2021, after working for a decade in IRENEX, I decided to challenge my managerial skills as the CEO of an energy investment company with seven subsidiaries. We launched a Build Operate Transfer project to construct a 550 MW power plant for Golgohar Company and implemented some schemes to expand Iran's largest wind power plant in Manjil. After some years of activity in an interdisciplinary environment between capital markets and electrical engineering, I decided to concentrate more on financial markets. On this basis, in 2022, I entered the Omid Investment Bank. To acquire up-to-date knowledge and global experience, as a milestone in my career, I came to the conclusion that passing an MBA program will assist me in realizing my career goals, so I applied for the 2023 MBA program at Beedie School of Business (Simon Fraser University) in Vancouver.
